The Kandahar returns to "La Verte des Houches" with a World Cup event in men's alpine skiing: slalom. A race and animations, a world event not to be missed!
The Alpine Skiing World Cup, a mythical ski race, has become the biggest event in the Chamonix Valley and contributes greatly to the good reputation of the resort. The race is part of the reference races like the Wengen and Kitzbuhel runs. The Green slope of Les Houches is the only downhill slope in the department of Haute Savoie, homologated "World Cup for men", a unique and precious privilege.
The Piste Verte des Houches is "Green" in name only. The trail is lined with fir trees and is oriented from the sun to offer a frozen trail, with green colors, where its name comes from.
The Piste Verte des Houches is in fact a black run of 870 m of vertical drop and 3343 meters of length. The best skiers in the world ski it in two minutes. A series of very technical passages and jumps, including the Cassure and the Goulet, guarantee that this run is one of the most beautiful in the world. It is the only downhill run on the "World Cup for Men" circuit homologated by the FIS in the department.
