More than 10,500 runners of 80 different nationalities will have the pleasure of setting off from Chamonix to cover the trails of the Valley.
The Mont-Blanc Marathon races are organized by the Association of Sports Clubs of Chamonix. Under the name of Mont-Blanc Marathon, 8 races are organized: 90 km of Mont-Blanc, 42 km of Mont-Blanc, 23 km of Mont-Blanc, KM Vertical of Mont-Blanc, Starry Duet, Young Race Marathon, 10 km of Mont-Blanc Blanc and Mini cross of Mont-Blanc (800m to 3 km reserved for children according to their age category).
For 4 days, the Chamonix valley will vibrate to the rhythm of the races, 40,000 people will be present in Chamonix to attend or participate in this event, and everything is done to welcome the runners and spectators in the best conditions. The event has become considerable in a few years, however, the organization is associative (not for profit) and relies on volunteers and the will of local communities.
With races taking place in the mountains in a sometimes difficult environment (notably the 90 km of Mont-Blanc), runners must be aware of this particularity and prepare themselves properly. Each runner can find a race adapted to his or her level of practice that allows him or her to discover the unique environment of the Chamonix-Mont-Blanc valley.
